Insunits autocad 2013

Only certain blocks were doing this. I also tried setting it to m in both drawings and then to 0 in all. Didn't work. I was worried this affect my actual annotative blocks north arrows etc So my problem is fixed I think.

I am just wondering if someone can shed some light on this option - it seems to me that insunits sould take care of all scaling issues, I am worried this other setting will affect something else? What is the purpose of it if we have insunits? Does turning it off void the insunits variable? Also, is changing that setting in -dwgunits accesible by a system variable or any other way? If a drawing was created with a vertical application like, Civil 3D or Architectural Desktop, etc.

Without having anything selected, look at the Properties Manager and expand the "Block" category. Click on the pull-down menu option for "Units", and then set the units accordingly that best represents the block. That would explain a lot. I've also had problems with blocks scaling by some imperial factor in the past, even though all units were set to mm or m. If you insert a block that was created with some other units AutoCAD will automatically scale the block accordingly. It works the other way too Your blocks are probably fine because you most likely created them in UNITS that would be most commonly used.

Whenever you check the Properties of a block in a drawing and see a Unit factor of something other than 1. TARGET alone simply because they can introduce another level of complexity into a drawing that could end up being more of a hassle at some point than a help. Cheers Dave. When these blocks are inserted and scale by , the units still say 1, and meters.

When I use the -dwgunits fix, the blocks then come in at the right size, but the units still say 1 and meters.
